Eligibility & Roles

Roles:​

Technology Team: Assist in the maintenance and updates of our organization's website. Ensure content accuracy, troubleshoot issues, and work to optimize user experience for visitors. Opportunities to conceptualize, design, and implement tech projects that align with the goals and vision of GEL. Projects may include website development, digital tools, or other technology-driven solutions.

Creative Design Team: Design and create captivating visual artwork for our website, social media, pamphlets, and other visual tools.

 

Program Support Team: Help design, plan, and execute programs that align with our mission and vision.

​

Marketing & Promotion Team: Contribute to managing and expanding our nonprofit's online presence across various social media platforms. Help create engaging content and use technology to drive our message to a wider audience.

Eligibility Criteria

​

1. Age Requirement: Applicants must be at least 15 years old at the time of application.

2. Passion for Social Change: We seek individuals who are genuinely passionate about creating positive social change in their communities. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to making a difference and contributing to the betterment of society.

3. Leadership Potential: We encourage candidates who have exhibited leadership qualities or held positions of responsibility in school, community, or extracurricular activities.

4. Strong Communication Skills: Effective communication is vital for our student board team members. Applicants should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, allowing them to express ideas and interact with diverse groups effectively.

5. Collaborative Spirit: We value teamwork and collaboration. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with peers, mentors, and community members to achieve common goals.

6. Dedication and Time Commitment: Serving on the student board team requires dedication and time commitment. Most student board members should expect to spend about 1-3 hours per week. Applicants should be willing to allocate time for team meetings, projects, and events as required.

7. Respect for Diversity and Inclusivity: GEL is committed to creating an inclusive environment that values diversity. Candidates should embrace and respect people from all backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives.

8. Adherence to Nonprofit's Mission: As an organization focused on educating and empowering young individuals for positive social change, applicants should align with the mission, values, and principles of GEL.
